It's been a short week, but with a long list of activities! Here's the weekly update:
9-06-2024 Update
Reality U
USD 338 will be hosting Reality U for our 8th and 10th grade students on the morning of September 9, 2024 in the east gym. The student session will be from 9:30 to 11:00. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help with this great learning experience for our students!
Summer EBT
Attention Kansas Families!
Time is running out to apply for Summer EBT! Less than two weeks to apply for $120 in grocery assistance through the Summer EBT program. This is available to all Kansas schoolchildren who are income-eligible to receive free and reduced-price meals during the school year. Applications must be submitted by September 11 through the Department for Children and Families (DCF) website. More information HERE and/or apply HERE.
While many families who qualify for Summer EBT may have already received their benefits, many more can only receive them if they fill out an application. Check your eligibility today!
HUDL
USD 338 is proud to announce that activities such as volleyball, basketball games and graduation will be streamed on HUDL. We are able to provide this service to anyone that wants to watch for free! A huge THANK YOU to the VF Rec Commission for their generous donation to make this available for our district. Thank you also to Ritchie Herbster, Wyatt Hofstra, and Donny Smith for volunteering their time in getting the cameras set up. To watch activities, Go to 'Hudl Fan', then search Valley Falls or use the link: https://team1sports.com If you click on “Past” you can view previous activities. Please contact us if you have any questions. Thanks again to our Rec Commission for their support of our school district!
SAVE THE DATE FOR SEE YOU AT THE POLE!
The annual “See You At The Pole” will be Wednesday, September 25th. Meet at the HS pole at 7 am, rain or shine. A grab and go breakfast will be available immediately afterwards across the street at the Valley Falls Christian Church.
BE A DRAGON BACKER!
Are you interested in helping our school by advertising in our sports programs? This school year we are targeting donations to help with playground and technology improvements. Donations are tax deductible and our school district has been very appreciative of our donor support.
There are two levels of donations. Black and Gold Club is a donation of $250 and you will be recognized with a business card size ad in our sports program through the Fall and Winter Sports Seasons of Volleyball, Football and Basketball. Dragon Club membership is a minimum of a $25 donation. This will put your family or business name in the same sports program. Donations must be received before your ad/names will be included. Contact john.hamon@vfalls338.com for more information.
Football Parking
We have some premium parking spots available east of the football field. $100 reserves your spot for the 2024-25 school year. Contact john.hamon@vfalls338.com if interested.

Supporting Your
Child
Send a note of encouragement in your child’s backpack or lunch bag.
Don’t feel you have to fix everything. Sometimes it’s okay to step back and be a listening ear.
