Congratulations to our culinary program and students who won the Kansas State on a Plate recipe challenge. These recipes are now being vetted by the USDA to be included in school lunch and snack programs throughout the nation!
The following two recipes are from VFHS:
Kansas Granola: The recipe, developed by Valley Falls High School students, was modified to include roasted soybeans and wheat as a local ingredients, as oats fit for human consumption are hard to locally source to scale in Kansas.
Berry Delicious, an applesauce mixture that included aronia berries (also known as chokeberries).

VF Middle School Girls just won their final game of the season placing 3rd in our NEK tournament. It was a hard fought battle with Pleasant Ridge. 21-20! Congrats Lady Dragons!

Have a great weekend!!

The high school leadership class would like to invite the high school to participate in a holiday spirit week. Monday is "Deck the halls". Wear your Christmas socks and all your holiday accessories. Check out the flyer for the rest of the fun week.

Culinary classes hosted their annual Senior Citizen dinner today serving over 60 meals, with help from various groups across the buildings. To include NHS, HS and Elementary Music, Journalism, and Graphic Design among others. Great job to all students, staff, and volunteers!

Leadership is so much more than being in charge, it's learning to lead and be a part of a team that works together to accomplish a task. At Christmas it's a marshmallow world, or shall we say a marshmallow challenge. VFHS leadership class is up to the task!
